[Update] 23 injured, two dead after car plows through crowd near SXSW in Austin

A car plowed through a crowd of people outside a venue near the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas early Thursday morning, killing two people and injuring 23 medical officials say. The Austin-Travis County EMS public information officer reports five people were critically injured, five seriously injured and 13 people had minor to moderate injuries following the incident. Eyewitnesses reported on Twitter that a black sedan was being pursued by police around 1:00 a.m. local time when it broke through a barricade and struck several people outside the Mohawk Bar where several performances were taking place.
